Dr. Lach treats a lot of individuals from the Corvallis community that are injured on the job. According to the National Safety Council, the most common kind of work injury is musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), which involves injuries to the muscles, nerves, tendons, ligaments and joints. MSDs account for more than one third of all workplace accidents.
The most frequent type of MSD is a strain, which is an injury to a muscle or tendon. Strains are caused by lifting, pushing or pulling too much weight, or by engaging in repetitive movements. Other common MSDs involve carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis and back discomfort.
These injuries can be prevented by using correct lifting techniques, taking several breaks and using ergonomic tools. Employers can also help avoid injuries by providing their employees educational sources on avoiding getting hurt on the job.
Back issues and injuries are a ordinary problem that Dr. Lach sees in our #Ciyt# office and we also work with people who have shoulder or neck issues.
If you have sustained a work injury or accident and live in the Corvallis community, give Dr. Lach a call and schedule an appointment today. We will work with you to create a treatment plan that will help you get relief and do our best to get you back on the job as fast as possible!
